Standard Chartered optimistic about Việt Nam’s economic growth outlook in 2026
Standard Chartered expects Việt Nam’s economic growth to moderate in the first half of the year before rebounding more clearly in the second half. GDP growth is projected at about 6.5 per cent in the first half, accelerating to around 8 per cent in the latter half, bringing full-year growth to 7.2 per cent.

Despite a volatile global environment, Việt Nam recorded solid gains in 2025. With flexible and proactive policies under the leadership of the Communist Party of Việt Nam and the Government, all 15 key socio-economic targets were met or exceeded, while GDP expanded by about 8.02 per cent, surpassing expectations.
